Vasectomy Procedures No Scalpel Vasectomy

Vasectomy Procedures Vasectomy procedures no scalpel vasectomy is performed similarly to the traditional vasectomy procedure. The no scalpel vasectomy and the traditional vasectomy both tie off the Vas deferens (the two tubes that carry the sperm out of the testicles). The difference is how the opening to the scrotal sac is created. During the traditional one slit vasectomy our urologist will be making a small slit in the scrotal sac with a scalpel, Dr. Gheiler can then get to both Vas deferens to cut the them and tie them shut, cauterize them shut, or suture them shut. Just prior to this the scrotal sac is prepared by cleaning it with an antiseptic and then you will be given local anesthesia to numb the area of the incision and the Vas deferens.

Vasectomy procedures no scalpel vasectomy does not use a scalpel to create an access to the Vas deferens instead a pointy hemostat is used to puncture the scrotal sac and then the hemostat gently opens to make an area big enough to get to the Vas deferens. By creating this type of entry into the scrotal sac the healing is very fast and the chances of any bleeding becomes very low. Overall the recovery process is faster than with the traditional vasectomy.

Vasectomy procedures no scalpel vasectomy and the traditional one slit method are both performed by our urologists at the Urology Specialists Center. In either case if there is anxiety about the procedure arrangements can be made to have medication to help remove your anxiety prior to the vasectomy. If this pre procedure medication is used it is suggested that you bring someone with you to drive you home since these medications can impair your driving ability or you can stay at the Urology Specialists center until you are ready to drive. You can speak with Dr. Bianco and Dr. Gheiler about having the vasectomy procedure done at the hospital using a complete anesthesia team so that you do not consciously experience the vasectomy.

Vasectomy procedures no scalpel vasectomy is just as effective as the traditional vasectomy procedures.
